In the last 5 years, Doghouse Sam & His Magnatones have achieved a great reputation in Europe with their personal sound, reinterpreting the good vibes of rhythm’n’blues. With concerts in more than 15 countries, his career has been recognized with prizes such as winning the Belgian Blues Challenge in 2015, or occupy the 2nd place in the European Blues Challenge, consolidating his great reputation.
Doghouse Sam writes and plays songs with a lot of heart and good taste. His musical style, immersed in the sounds of the first rhythm’n’blues, found a faithful audience and a good press response. Sam intends to bring something fresh and original to the scene without major changes. He has been in bands since he was 16 years old, and surrounded himself with a group of talented artists for his project. On the one hand the double bass virtuoso Jack O Roonie, who has been literally all over the world with his music, and has played with many big names like Ronnie Dawson and Chuck Berry to name a few. And on the other side, Franky Gomez on drums, whose style of playing with a very distinctive and creative rhythm has rewarded him as the best drummer of his country in 2010.
As a trio, Doghouse Sam & His Magnatones offer a solid show. In short, these guys have to do with the heart, honesty and hard work on stage. It will be difficult to prevent your feet from moving.
